Maintenance
For daily care, use a mild soap or pH-neutral detergent to clean the film’s surface. Avoid using products with extremely acidic or basic pH levels, as they can harm the material. When cleaning the film surface, only use soft cloths or sponges to prevent any damage. For stubborn stains, apply hot water (not boiling) to the affected area. If necessary, use a cleaning solution composed of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water, applied with a melamine sponge. For sanitizing, use only isopropyl alcohol-based products like Isopropyl Alcohol Wipes (not for daily use). Avoid organic-based cleaners like ammonia or polish, as they can damage vinyl. Test any cleaning detergents, bactericides, or virucidal products on a hidden area first to ensure compatibility.
Installation guidance
- Pre-cut the film in areas where cutting or trimming after application may be difficult, particularly around backsplashes, edges, and corners. - Due to the increased thickness and density of the material, test cutting, trimming, and thermoforming techniques before installation. - For 90° corners, where applicable, thermoforming is recommended, as overlaps may remain visible due to the thickness of the material. - When using a cut-and-overlap technique, SOTT Corner Sealer (400-CS01) can be used to conceal any visible white edges. - Glossy High Resistance finishes are not thermoformable. - Despite their increased thickness, non-glossy High Resistance films behave similarly to standard Cover Styl films during installation, including during thermoforming.
Non-contractual visuals and data. Cover Styl reserves the right to change the composition of its films at any time.
