Maintenance
For daily care, use a mild soap or pH-neutral detergent to clean the film’s surface. Avoid using products with extremely acidic or basic pH levels, as they can harm the material. When cleaning the film surface, only use soft cloths or sponges to prevent any damage. For stubborn stains, apply hot water (not boiling) to the affected area. If necessary, use a cleaning solution composed of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water, applied with a melamine sponge. For sanitizing, use only isopropyl alcohol-based products like Isopropyl Alcohol Wipes (not for daily use). Avoid organic-based cleaners like ammonia or polish, as they can damage vinyl. Test any cleaning detergents, bactericides, or virucidal products on a hidden area first to ensure compatibility.
Installation guidance
- Silk features a special anti-fingerprint surface treatment. - Due to its specific construction, stretching of the film may cause the surface coating to crack. - Due to its specific surface construction, the material is more rigid and may be more sensitive to sharp cuts and low temperatures. - Before installation, allow the film to reach room temperature and handle the roll carefully. - Where a sharp cut could initiate a tear, use a rounded cut to reduce stress concentration. - In overlap areas, the use of Primer PRO is mandatory. Do not use Primer+ or solvent-based primers, as they may permanently compromise adhesion in overlap areas. - Use of the specified primer is a mandatory condition for warranty validity.
